Newsreader

Catching up on this week's news. Sometimes, this reader puts out duplicate articles from the same site, and I can't figure out if this is the fault of AOL Reader, Yahoo Pipes or Feedburner. I've tried Feedly, and it's not any better than AOL Reader. Can anyone recommend a better online newsreader? Thanks!
HTML 5
These HTML 5 typographic/misc symbols do not render properly across different browsers. For example, I don't know how, but these work on Chrome 38 and Firefox 34 under Ubuntu x86 system, not so well on OS X (Safari) and even on MSWin8+ running Chrome 38. On Safari I would see it with color, not monochrome. If the symbols fail completely, like I would see on the MSWin8+, you will only see a smaller square box.
If anyone has figured out this problem, or knows how to fix it without using pictures, let us know.
